2.
Task 3 :
My music video follows two bestfriends at school who both secretly like the same boy . Neither tells the other - they’re both too scares , too nervous , and too worried it might ruin their friendship . We see them watch him from corridors , across the canteen , and from sidelines - both feeling invisible . Instead of fighting or jealousy , the drama comes from their quiet vulnerability and the fear of being honest . By the end, they open up to eachother - and realise they’ve both been feeling the exact same way all along . The real story isn’t about getting the boy - it’s finding courage , honesty , and friendship in eachother .
message : The bravest thing isn’t getting the boy , it’s being honest with your best friend
Locations : school gates , corridors , canteen , playground , outside the school
My friends
costume : uniform , hoodie
props : phones , notebooks/schoolbooks , school bags
Task 4:
For my media project, I’ve decided to create a music video for Taylor Swift’s song You Belong With Me. I chose this track because it’s super relatable and the lyrics already tell such a clear story, which makes it easier to build a narrative around. The main focus of my video will be two best friends, Mia and Lila, who both end up liking the same guy from their school. I want it to feel realistic, emotional and dramatic enough to show how much this situation affects them, but I don’t want them to turn on each other or start fighting. The core message is really about how vulnerable you can feel when you like someone, and the fear of ruining a friendship over a crush. It also explores that moment when you realise the person closest to you has been feeling the exact same way all along, and how scary and comforting that is at the same time.
My video will be mostly narrative-driven, with scenes showing their daily school life, little moments with the crush, and private moments where they’re each dealing with their feelings alone. I’ll include some performance-style clips too, like them singing along or just being together, to match the tone of the song. The overall vibe is meant to feel warm, familiar, and true to what being a teenager is actually like (messy, awkward, and full of big feelings).
For the cast, I’ll use two friends of mine to play Mia and Lila, and one more person to play the boy they both like called elijah. Filming will happen at our school, the local park, and at one of our houses these are places that feel normal and authentic. Costumes will just be regular school clothes and casual outfits so it doesn’t look fake or overdone. My goal is to make something that feels honest and relatable, showing that friendship matters just as much as crushes do, and that being vulnerable with someone you trust isn’t a weakness.
